About the author

Dr. R L Madan brings over thirty-five years of classroom experience to this textbook, and it shows in the way topics are paced. He spent much of his career at Government Postgraduate College, Faridabad, and also served as Principal at Government College, Panchkula and Tigaon. His research background — adsorption, catalysis, and surface chemistry at IIT Delhi — gives the physical chemistry sections a depth you rarely find in first-year texts.
