Sudhir Nama
From a village classroom in Rajasthan to the bookshelves of India’s chemistry aspirants
Sudhir Nama Sir — Chemistry Lecturer & Author
Sudhir Nama is a highly respected Chemistry Lecturer, mentor and prolific author whose name has become familiar to a whole generation of chemistry students across India. With a Master’s degree in Chemistry (specialising in Organic Chemistry) and a Certificate in Mechanisms in Organic Chemistry from the prestigious IIT Bombay, he combines deep subject knowledge with an unusually warm, student-first style of teaching.
Over a decade of teaching — across coaching institutes, schools, colleges and online platforms — has gone into books that simplify everything from reaction mechanisms for NEET and JEE to advanced topics like pericyclic reactions for CSIR-NET and GATE. And when he is not writing chemistry, he writes stories rooted in the soil of his Rajasthan village.
Early Life
A Village Beginning in Sikar, Rajasthan
Sudhir Nama was born in a village in the Sikar district of Rajasthan, and his early life was shaped by the close-knit community and grounded values of rural Rajasthan. His father serves the Central Government as a Mail Overseer with India Post, while his mother devoted herself to the family and household. Growing up with his younger brother, Satveer, he learned early the value of responsibility and perseverance.
A Family of Teachers
Education ran in the family — his grandfather and an uncle both served as teachers at the local government school where he studied. Being surrounded by educators from childhood instilled in him a deep respect for learning and discipline, and quietly planted the seed of his own career in teaching.
Education
School & Undergraduate Years
He completed his higher secondary education at Arvind Bal Mandir, Bikaner, and went on to earn his B.Sc. from Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner, building a firm foundation in the core sciences.
M.Sc. in Chemistry — University of Kota
He pursued his Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Kota, specialising in Organic Chemistry. It was here that his fascination with the structure, reactivity and mechanisms of reactions truly took hold.
Advanced Training at IIT Bombay
To sharpen his expertise further, he completed a Certificate programme in Mechanisms in Organic Chemistry at IIT Bombay — a rigorous training that gave him a deep, practical understanding of reaction principles, organic synthesis and their applications.
Career & Teaching Philosophy
After his Master’s, Sudhir Nama stepped straight into education. He taught across a wide spectrum of settings — coaching institutes, schools, colleges — and was an early adopter of online teaching, extending his reach to students well beyond his classroom walls.
Today he is an experienced Chemistry Lecturer with more than a decade of teaching behind him. He has authored multiple textbooks, reference books, question banks and MCQ practice series for undergraduate and postgraduate students, along with specialised material for competitive exams such as M.Sc., IIT-JAM, CUET, GATE, CSIR-NET, NEET and JEE.
Create a classroom where questions are welcomed, curiosity is celebrated, and concepts come before marks — the marks will follow on their own.
